My Role in This Work

The core design for the Wegmans Meals 2GO website and apps was already established when I took over as UI/UX designer for the web application team in February 2020. Working on an agile team in two-week sprints, I’ve designed hundreds of mockups and user flows for new features. Collaborating with developers and product owners on a daily basis, I ensured that UI designs were sensible for not only the user experience, but for development in responsive layout. In addition, I helped make sure the UX and brand expression was aligned with other Wegmans applications and customer-facing materials. I strived to identify opportunities to improve user experience, while delivering on business requirements and finding development efficiencies. Thousands of orders were placed daily, by customers using a wide variety of devices and screen sizes.
